MDS Announces Successful Drilling of First Three Horizontal Wells

December 31, 2014 – MDS Energy Development (http://www.mdsenergydev.com) announced today the successful completion of the drilling stage of its first three horizontal natural gas wells targeting the prolific Marcellus Shale in western Pennsylvania.  “We are pleased to report the drilling portion of our first three horizontal wells has been successfully completed on-time and on-budget” says MDS president and CEO Michael D. Snyder.

The wells, which are located 40 miles northeast of Pittsburgh in Armstrong County, Pennsylvania, are a joint venture between MDS Energy Development, and Snyder Brothers, Inc., Snyder Brothers Inc. is of Pennsylvania’s oldest and largest private natural gas producers.

A pipeline to move gas from the “Ambrose” pad to market is currently under construction, and the wells are anticipated to be completed and flowing gas in the summer of 2015.  The wells are a part of MDS 2014-Marcellus Shale Development, LP, a direct participation oil and gas partnership of which MDS Energy Development, LLC is the managing general partner.

The site work, pipeline installation, and drilling of the vertical section of the well was completed by MDS Energy Development sister company, First Class Energy (http://www.firsclassenergy.net).
